- A newsgroup/mailing list for the RCA CDP1800 series, named after the COSMAC Elf project computer from the pages of Popular Electronics.
The CDP1802 is a old Central Processing Unit, CPU, from 1976. Its claim to lasting fame is that it early on got a version that was radiation hardened so it could go into space. This means it has been used in a lot of different man made satellites such as the Hubble space telescope. Another is that it was the first CPU made with the CMOS process.
